Cliffe FC 3 - 0 Selby Olympia (Selby Cup) 11Aug12

A slow start by Cliffe FC saw Olympia have the early chances before the deadlock was broken on the 23rd minute from a Chris Harkin corner that was headed on by Wes Pears Lee Carter and passed into the net by Luke Crowther, 1-0. Tom Hogg doubled the lead, catching the ‘keeper off guard with a 40 yard effort that flew into the roof of the net, 2-0.
By the time Pears was tripped in the area and Crowther had slammed the ball into the net via the penalty spot, the game was virtually Over.Rated as one of the up and coming sides in this coming season’s YFL Division Three, Olympia didn’t have an answer to the 3-0 half-time scoreline in the following 45 minutes.
