Cliffe FC 2ndXI vs. Huby United Reserves (A) 30th March 2013

York Minster Engineering Football League – Reserve D
HT: 0-1
FT: Huby United Reserves 0 – 4 Cliffe FC Reserves

Cliffe FC Reserves’ purple patch continues with a 4-0 away at Huby United.
Hugo Delgado writes…

Tom Dunning opened the scoring after 10 minutes after quickly pouncing on some loose passing from Huby and adding a cool finish after holding off the centre half.

It was Dunning who carved out the 2nd after beating 2 Huby defenders and squaring for Toby Bodycombe to beat the keeper with a sliding finish. 2nd half sub Tom Ellwood then made a surging run into the box and held off 2 Huby defenders before scoring a powerful effort from a tight angle. The scoring was then completed by that man Dunning who ‘megged the full back before producing a clever finish from almost on the byline. MOTM: Tom Dunning.

“Today was another good result against a team much improved from the last team we played them. We got the result without really hitting top gear and I have to say it was really the Tom Dunning show today, he was central to everything we did today and was rightly the man of the match.”
