Cliffe FC U21s continue their league campaign in on 15th October 2014 – 7pm KO – against Garforth Villa U21s.

Saturday was a day to forget with both the First Team and Reserves being dumped out of the York FA Cups.

Saturday 27th September 2014
York FA – Saturday Senior Cup – 1st Round
Dunnington 8-0 Cliffe FC

Cliffe FC 0 - 8 Dunnington (York FA Cup) 27Sept14
A depleted first team were picked apart by Dunnington, the Premier League pace-setters winning 8-0. Dunnington remained sporting and much credit to their class shown in their gracious style of victory.
To add to the defeat, Lee Carter suffered a major set-back in his recovery of his knee injury during the half-time break – a bad day at the office. Cliffe FC are back in Division One action next Saturday at home to Total Sports United.

Saturday 27th September 2014
York FA – Saturday Junior Cup – 1st Round
Tockwith AFC Reserves 4-0 Cliffe FC Reserves

Cliffe FC Reserves also travelled with an understrength side to Tockwith Reserves and were beaten 4-0, unable to avenge the league defeat handed to them a few weeks ago. Cliffe FC Reserves are fixture-less next Saturday.

Sunday 28th September 2014
East Riding County FA – Chairman’s Cup – 1st Round
Highway Warriors 7-1 Cliffe FC Sunday

The weekend ended with the Sunday team travelling to Hull-based Highway Warriors in East Riding County Cup action. Warriors lead 3-0 at the half-time interval and when Kieran Dinsdale made it 3-1 early in the second half the comeback looked possible. Warriors snatched 4 goals in the final minutes as Cliffe committed forward for goals – 7-1 the final score – probably not a fair reflection of the way the game was played on the day. Cliffe FC Sundays are back in action next Sunday, in York FA Sunday Cup action against York Wanderers.
